Soul City Steam, is a project that integrates a coffee shop and laundromat to address Jackson, Mississippi's practical needs and enhance well-being. Developed in collaboration with Dwell Magazine, Belhaven University, and The Community Foundation of Mississippi, Mass Design Group strategically incorporates principles from twelve influential designers. The project aims to provide accessible laundry services while fostering community connection and happiness. Rooted in values of access and inclusion, Soul City Steam transcends traditional design boundaries to make a lasting positive impact on the community, drawing inspiration from the past to shape a brighter future.
This publication and all supplemental materials were created with 3 peers. My roles in the design team included: ideation, research, layout design, photoshop, typesetting, and website design.
